49What time zone does MT5 use?
MT5 charts run on server time — GMT+2 (EET) in winter and GMT+3 (EEST) in summer. The shift happens on European DST dates. This keeps the daily candle close at the 5pm New York close (22:00 UTC in winter, 21:00 UTC in summer), which is the FX industry standard. Your local clock can differ — adjust strategies that depend on session boundaries accordingly.
50How do I reset my MT5 trading account password?
From the Client Area, locate the trading account and click Reset Password — a new master and investor password is emailed to you. You can also change it inside MT5 via Tools → Options → Server → Change Password.
51How do I install an Expert Advisor (EA) on MT5?
Place the .ex5 or .mq5 file in MT5's Experts folder (File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts), refresh the Navigator panel, drag the EA onto a chart, and enable AutoTrading in the toolbar.
52My EA isn't placing trades — what's wrong?
Check that the AutoTrading button (top toolbar) is green, the chart's symbol matches the EA's intended symbol, sufficient free margin exists, and the symbol's session is open. Logs are in MT5's Experts and Journal tabs.
53How do I generate a trading statement?
In MT5, right-click the History tab and select Save as Detailed Report (HTML or CSV). Statements with custom date ranges are also available in your Client Area under Reports.
54Why can't I see a currency pair or instrument on my platform?
In MT5, right-click Market Watch and select Show All to expose every available symbol. Some less-common instruments are hidden by default to keep the watchlist clean.
55Why do you only offer MT5 and not cTrader?
MT5 is the industry standard for automated trading (MQL5 Expert Advisors), multi-asset support, and depth of market — and it covers desktop, web, iOS, and Android from one account. We focused on doing one platform well rather than splitting our infrastructure across multiple terminals.
56Can I create a read-only investor password to share my charts?
Yes. Generate an investor password for any trading account from the Client Area. It lets a third party log in to view positions and chart layouts but never to place orders.
57Can I get sponsored VPS hosting?
Pro Plus members at Gold tier and above qualify for sponsored VPS hosting at the LD4 datacentre — covered while monthly volume thresholds are met. Standard and Pro account holders can rent VPS at our published rate.
58Does Clarity reimburse my TradingView subscription?
Not as a refund of your bill — the Free TradingView programme pays a fixed amount instead.
